Anyway this is the movie to see over thanksgiving. it is epic, it is majestic, it is a romantic, it is a spectacle and the scenery is so gorgeous you can barely stand it. It is everything a great movie should be. The new Baz Luhrmann film called "Australia"

Australia's to stereotypical a film to win at the oscars...it was like how when Pearl Harbour was being made people thought 'oh it's a 3 hour epic that's a love story, it'll sweep the oscars.' But it didn't, it's the same run of the mill movie that we get so many of...it might get a nomination or two to fill in the gaps, but I don't see it winning anything because it's nothing special. There's also a very real chance that it'll flop critically and financially.
