I really liked the whole sequence for the Lifetime Achievement Award they gave to Ennio Morricone. Plus although in Italian, you could tell it was a heartfelt thing for him.

I agree. Hermann is my favorite, but Morricone is undeniably one of the greatest film score composers of all time.

That and the part where Ben Stiller mocked Jouquin Phoenix were my favorite parts.

I don't know about that last part. The whole Ben Stiller/Joaquin Phoenix thing was uncomfortable to watch.

As for acceptance speeches seeming fake...well...they are actors. They are in the business of lying all the time. LOL
