July 30, 2008 — Brendan Fraser admits that he thought twice before signing onto the third Mummy pictures without Rachel Weisz signing on as well.
Brendan Fraser thought twice before signing with producers the third series of "Mummy", after he found out that it's movie partner, Rachel Weisz, renounced to her role in movie. The two ones plaid in first two parts of series, but the actress didn't want to take her role in "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor", being replaced by Maria Bello.
"I felt Rachel missing when I read for first time the script. We were partners, friends, colleagues, and I couldn't read the script without thinking how would she pronounce her lines. Between us was chemistry. But we didn't want to modify storyline and begin with a scene her burial. I don't want to spoil your surprise, but I can promise you a new Evie" says Fraser.
