I've heard people complaining bout the movie being moved for some till september....guess what, I ain't seeing it till the end of October, 27 october is the release date for Belgium, stank you very much, by that time we will have the import dvd's and it will crash at the cinema and won't do any good. They are selfdestructing the movie. How stupid can you be. As of now, I will only read the comics, the news about the movie don't interest me anymore....geez, freaking bigheaded Americans!! I'm soooooooo mad.
Man has this been a baaaaaaaaaaaaaad day, dentist-huge bill for the taxes that I will have a hellish trouble paying and now this... Thank you to all the people that made this movie push up possible, you can eat my Belgian shorts!!

K guy I'm still so angry about this but I tried to use "kind(PG 13)" words, I'd ask you to try and keep cool and not use any hard language too, ...I'm kinda sorry I lost my cool but this is really stupid.
I'm not gonna download it and not only because it is illegal, you hurt the creative minds behind it and they have no say in this.
I just really hope that this is a joke (but it's all over the net so probably not), this is gonna hurt the movie in so many ways. You just gave one of the reasons, a lot of european fans will download it as soon as it's on and won't go see it on the big screen. I'm totally against this but they are almost giving them a good reason to do it....very sad
I'm gonna have some sleep now, working day tomorrow, maybe the night will calm me down....what a hell of a day.....

Aw bro, that stinks!!!! With a capital 'S' even!!!!
I heard about the European release dates being pushed back to allow time for the marketting to set in, but October IS pushing it too far!!!! I'm sure GTD doesn't like this one bit either, considering it does hurt the cinema sales for HB and almost forces European fans to pirate the film over the internet...Considering the DVD will be out first in Europe, it makes NO SENSE to hold the release date that far... Now I'm mad too!
Sorry your day's crap bro, hope you're feeling better and perhaps this will all change when the cinema reps realize how silly it is to hold up the movie that long...

Here's a little something taken from a post by GDT on the Official HB message boards, I know it won't do much to ease the pain, but at least it's something...Cheers!

GDT says:

"The WHOLE rationale for Sony's delay of the pic overseas is the following: When DAREDEVIL opened abroad the filom did extremely poor because of a general "ignorance" of the property by the general audience. HELLBOY is even more esoteric a comic book property. For example, in a random sampling across USA 23% of the "man on the street" interviews declared to know or have known DAREDEVIL the comic book. Only 6% had that to say about Hellboy. Arguably Sony is afraid of losing to lack of recognition as much money as they would loose in the high piracy markets. So, some Asian and Latin markets will open the film in April/May and we still may see a shift on the release elsewhere provided that our USA opening has a high profile. You and I may agre with this or not... but the fact is that the Sony guys are really jazzed abouit the movie and want time to do a "pre-opening" campaign to bring the character to the masses. Seeing how they have embraced the movie and how they believe in it, genuinely I must say I have to trust them with an area I know little about (release and distribution) and hope that something good happens that enables them to pull the date up closer to summer -even with the competition of huge profile stuff like TROY or VAN HELSING, etc. Cool heads should prevail... "

Guys, I apologies for my misappropriate use of language, etc. And I am never taking piracy as an option, 'cause I want to watch the real deal! Fair enough, the dates are moved forward for some reasons (not for fun, thank goodness). Thanks for sharing our sympathising with us!

Thanks for understanding bro, I know you would. Thing about Hellboy not being well known is not a european issue, he's not known in America either so why this freaking push for Europe. If the movie is good, people will go and see it. If it's a bad movie, well then don't even show it cause I'm not interested in seeing my comic hero in a bad movie.
Well all the complaining won't change a thing, we got the short end of the rope as usual, ....and Spades , why do you think we got the best beer in the world, cause we deserve it because all of the doodoo the rest of the world is giving us

The trailer is looking promising! I'm just peed by the fact that it's a PG-13 cert, rather than a 15 (or even better, an 1 , but I haven't red the comics yet, so I don't know what to expect.

HB comics are meant for a mature audience (Dark Horse hasn't sold out and gone soft the way Marvel has on most of their titles), but I can understand the PG13 rating for the film, a wider audience range = more $$...right?

Yeah dude, agree, same thing happened with Spiderman, critics thought it should be a 15, but it was aimed at younger audiences, due to the toys and stuff. Right?

It'll most probably score an M15 here... all that means is that if your under 15 you have to be with a parent of someone over 15 to see the movie. It's not really enforced much though.

Didn't Spiderman bring in the 12-A rating? That's probably what Hellboy will get.

I wouldn't necesarily say that Hellboy is intended for a mature audience...I mean, it can certainly be appreciated by a mture audience, but in the sense of violence or language I don't consider it material that is inappropriate for younger readers...it's just layered, so they may not fully appreciate it. It's still 'appropriate' for them, tho.

I dunno Typh, I guess it's more of the underlying mood and well placed psuedo-inuendos and the sheer complexity and intelligence of the stories that makes me say that they are meant for a 'mature audience', not that the comics are crude or full of gratuitous nudity or foul language anything like that...

Perhaps 'mature' didn't nail what I meant just right, perhaps 'intelligent audience' may be a better choice of verbal mumbo-jumbe and stuff...
Que pasa?
