Didn't he do the movie where he could only tell the truth? Sounds about the same.

Carrey is becoming Eddie Murphy. He's losing it.

Doesn't bother me one bit. Liar Liar is the best movie that Jim's ever done (in my opinion).

Same here. I'm definitely seeing this one.

I MAY see this one in theaters.

There are just so many other good movies out that I haven't seen yet because of Christmas shopping.

The three I'm most interested in seeing right now are Bolt, Punisher War Zone, and The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Not really. Liar Liar was about a divorced Lawyer who is inflicted with a mystical curse of only being able to tell the truth, whether he wants to or not, after his son wishes that his father couldn't lie for his birthday wish. Yes Man is about a not-so-nice office worker who, after going to a motivational speaker's seminar, decides to change his negative stance on life and say "yes" to everything. They're pretty different. Are there bare-bones base similarities between the basic premises of the two movies? Sure. But then, there are bare-bones base similarities between the basic premises of just about every movie that's ever been made, when you get right down to it.

And whats with all of the Carrey Bashing lately? Sure he's had a few misfires, but I've enjoyed just about every movie of his that hes made (and yes, I'm including The Majestic).

I think he meant that their movies started out good when their careers were young, but now they're just getting mediocre or plain-out sucking.

I wasn't really knocking his talent, or the movie. It just seemed like these recent films are sort of a one-gag theme carried out to its ultimate conclusion.

I just don't see movies like this in the theater any more, but I might this time. We need a dose of optimism in this country.

Thanks for the heads up.

Carey is Murphy in the sense that his roles in movies aren't as hilarious as they used to be.

I've been starting to view Eddie Murphy as the ultimate attention whore... You know his movies are like...

Executive Producer...Eddie Murphy
Writer...Eddie Murphy
Lead Character...Eddie Murphy
Supporting Character...Eddie Murphy
Supporting Character 2...Eddie Murphy

Like no one else is ever really allowed to touch his projects. He's a one man show.
