Has there been anymore news about this lately? I have not heard anything in a while not since around when the game was released and there was so much talk going on and now it's as if there is nothing.

I saw a video recently of bill murray at the premiere of the fantastic Mr Fox and he breifly mentioned Ghostbusters 3. Basically he said he hasn't heard anything yet, nothings been confirmed. Also he said he would only do a third if the movie was fantastic and not just doing another for the sake of it like GB2. It sounded like a script was pretty much iminent, but no one has signed any legal forms yet.

I spoke to ernie hudson about whats going on. He says that just like everyone else, no one has really heard anything besides that a script is being done and a third film is coming and he will most def return if asked.

Akroyd said in an interview a week or so ago that the script is being done, but he also said GB3 is closer to being done than it ever has. I think the guys writing the script are the guys who wrote Year One.
