October 17, 2006 — According to Production Weekly "Peter Berg is close to a deal to direct the superhero drama "Tonight, He Comes," which Will Smith is toplining and producing. Smith will play a tortured superhero who crash-lands in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, and tries to transform himself by romancing an alluring housewife, causing chaos in the city. Script, originally by Vincent Ngo and rewritten by Vince Gilligan, has long been considered one of the best unproduced scripts in town. Berg, has just completed principle photography on the drama "Kingdom," starring Jamie Foxx,Colin Farrell, Chris Cooper and Jennifer Garner."
