The chairman for the visual effects company working on V for Vendetta, Cinesite, said that his company is not the reason the movie was pushed back.

...

But the chairman of Cinesite, the company responsible for providing the visual effects for the Warner Bros movie, has blasted media reports of their being behind schedule.

COLIN BROWN says, "We have never missed a deadline.

"I've spoken to Warner Bros who say that whatever the reasons may have been to postpone the release of V For Vendetta, it has nothing to do with late delivery of VFX (visual effects)...
