Akeelah and the Bee “Absolutely Wonderful!!!” — sachab28 [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... I just saw the SNEAK PREVIEW and I was TOTALLY DELIGHTED. Keke Palmer is just an amazing little actress. She has such a great depth. Her facial expressions just amazed me. She is only 11 or 12 yrs and shes OUTSTANDING. I've been looking forward to this movie since 05' because it is a positive black movie. NO DRUGS. NO SEX. NO GUNS. Its about a girl who won't let her light shine, but finally does w/susprising results. The other characters Larry F., Angela B., Curtis A., & the talented young actors were great. These kids sparkle. This is a movie that should be loved by all, but should be most adored by the black community. Reason being, the movie industry doesn't want to make movies like this for the black audience.
