Kevin Williamson, scribe of the first two 'Scream' films (and the only truly great ones, in my opinion) offered up some details on what to expect from Scream 4 and subsequent installments in his new trilogy:

I agree. I think the Scream franchise will be a great vehicle for horror film satire. A lot's happened in the past ten years that they can touch on.

Wow this series is turning out to be like Die Hard in a way.

The 1st movie was such a classic in its own rights.

The 2nd movie seemed like a rehash of the first and could be more improved.

The 3rd movie came several years later and became more fast-paced and better than the 2nd.

The 4th movie comes out more than ten years after the third.
