Chicago: Still don't know what this had going for it. Likeable stars, that's about it. Same story the musical has, which is pretty thin on well, anything.

DAMNIT! I was gonna put that one down for the next C! Ha ha. I hate hate hate that movie, but I may just be bitter because it was the same year as the Two Towers.

I do not think Gone with the Wind and ET were overrated at all.

Gone with the Wind was based off a fantastic book and it was revolutionary when it came out. It gets all the credit it deserves. ET had a storyline/theme that may be beat to death now either in other movies or just by making fun of the movie itself, but it was well-made and touching.

I always heard this was a hilarious movie and completely adorable (but I may be biased since I despise movies like this), and it wasn't funny or cute at all. My friends still put it on when it's on TV too. Maybe they just want to look at Will Smith because Kevin James and Eva Mendes are not entertaining at all.

i think any movie with will smith can be considered over-rated. and im one of those people that likes will smith movies. but there is alot of people out there that go to see a will smith movie without caring really what the movie is (like me). like pursuit of happyness. if that had any other star besides will smith it probably wouldnt have made half the money that it did.

But if the film were released today there is no way in hell it would come close to $2 billion. It would make $200 million at most, and that includes international box office.

That's why I do not count inflation adjustment when it comes to box office.

That film may be overrated, but most of his films are well-crafted, well-acted, and he chooses good stories to tell, depressing or not.

With all the B-grade movies being made and pushed as major motion pictures these days, he stands out. But to each their own.
