Whilst its scheduled for release this Sunday, Terrence Malick confirmed to Variety that he hasn't finished tinkering with his latest project "The New World" despite the deadline.

A 149-minute cut of the film was shown to critics and advanced screening audiences the other week. Since those screenings, Malick has has been trimming the historical drama which is now said to include 15-20 minutes of tweaks and trims - although there's no major chunks cut out.
