Now Playing Magazine recently chanted with Aja about the remake, which is scheduled to roll in June; "I think we keep the spirit and we keep the savage and the nasty [tone] of the original one, but we try to bring the movie into the more Straw Dogs way...More of a survival way. It's more about the family facing the unknown in the hills...a little bit different. I hope it's going to be very scary."

Not to much else that would be considering new is revealed, but Aja's enthusiasm for the film is palpable in the interview, and contagious. I can't wait to see what he and writing partner Grigory Levasseur bring to the table.
