I just saw the movie yesterday and did not see ANY evidence to prove that Sharon (the daughter) had any kind of fatal disease whatsoever, she just had problems sleepwalking. Also, her mother was NOT taking her to see a "healer" when they just happened to 'stumble upon Silent Hill' .. her mother was planning on taking her to Silent Hill because thats the place Sharon would talk about in her sleep. Oh yeah, and the cop was NOT sent to retrieve Sharon and her mother, she became just as trapped as they did after following them into the city - not because she was supposed to save them, but because the night before the mother led her on a high-speed car chase into the town. The film follows the game very closely, it even has the same musical score, so whoever wrote the premise for the movie on this site has the wrong idea about everything. Maybe the writer should oh, lets say, watch the movie?

Maybe that was the original plot and the writers decided to go back in and change it around a bit. After all, having her going to see a faith healer is much less of a reason than what they changed it to.

I am doing restless work to stop Uwe Boll. Please help me by joining my Uwe Boll boycott. Even if you are a fan you must be mad that he is butchering your favorite games. Do not spend a single penny on his movies, whether seeing them in the theater, purchasing DVD's, or renting. Hopefully by doing this we can stop him once and for all!

The studio gives us the synopsis so if ya have a gripe I'd try contacting them.
