Since I'm also finishing up on my current fan fic stories, I will soon be adding more "Power Rangers" stories here on this forum. However, I'd like to let new readers in on the following recap so they can be aware of what's going on:
21 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THESE "POWER RANGERS" FAN FICTION STORIES
#1.) THESE FAN FICTION STORIES ARE JUST THAT: FAN FICTION
Translation: THEY ARE ONLY WRITTEN FOR FUN.
I don't legally own the Power Rangers, its characters, its places, or any such things. Here are some examples:
1.) Jason Lee Scott (the original Red Power Ranger/Gold Zeo Ranger) and the Scott family
2.) Katherine Hillard (the second Pink Power Ranger/Pink Zeo Ranger/Pink Turbo Ranger) and the Hillard family
3.) Dr. Tommy Oliver (the Green and White Power Ranger; Red Zeo and Turbo Ranger; Black Dino Ranger) and the Oliver family
4.) Kimberly Ann Hart (the original Pink Power Ranger) and the Hart family
5.) Zack Taylor (the original Black Power Ranger) and the Taylor family
6.) Rocky DeSantos (the second Red Power Ranger) and the DeSantos family
7.) Adam Park (the second Black Power Ranger) and the Park family
8.) Zordon
9.) Alpha 5
10.) Rita Repulsa

19.) Angel Grove High School
20.) the fictional city of Angel Grove, California
21.) The various ways the Rangers morph -- the Power Morphers, the Zeo Crystal, etc.
22.) Farkus "Bulk" Bulkmeier and Eugene "Skull" Skullovitch
23.) The various incarnations the Power Rangers are based upon: Zyuranger, Dairanger and so on
24.) Planet Phaedos from the first Power Rangers film
25.) Dulcea from the first Power Rangers film
26.) Planet Eltar, where Zordon is from
27.) Planet Aquitar
28.) The Aquitian Rangers
29.) Billy Cranston/Blue Power Ranger and the Cranston family
30.) The Ninjetti Rangers (from MMPR: The Movie)
And etc., etc. Sorry I can't go on with the specifics, but this is a VERY long list and I can't cover all of it.
I'm writing these stories just for people to read and enjoy, out of spare time I have. There is NO profit being made for any of these.
However, I DO include my own, made-up characters for these fan fiction stories to make things fresh and new. The following characters are ones I made up and are ONLY made up for these stories:
1.) Lord Domminnous
2.) Ethan Kaye, the new Blue Power Ranger
3.) Ionisos of Eltar
4.) Planet Drynnix
5.) The Vistri Crystal
6.) The Elivoss Stone
7.) Planet Hetterray
8.) Planet Isyonis
9.) Shoshiri, my made-up land/kingdom on planet Phaedos
10.) King Vrellix
11.) Ken Morrison
12.) Alec Chan
13.) Dixie Knight
14.) Omar Burton
15.) Cammy Reynolds, Ethan's cousin
16.) John Bening
17.) Vincent Whedon
18.) Nicolai Browne
19.) Andrea Summers
20.) John Bening
21.) Edmund Perry
22.) Farrah Curtis
23.) Miles Sutherland
24.) The Dark Zords (Wasp and Spider Zords, respectively)
25.) Alyson Hill
And so on. Sorry, but, as mentioned above, there is far too much to list.

#2.) THE ROSTER
My Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team in my fan fiction stories consists of five Rangers from the original series -- Jason Lee Scott (the original Red Ranger), Kimberly Ann Hart (the original Pink Ranger), Dr. Tommy Oliver (the original Green Ranger), Katherine Hillard (the second Pink Ranger) and Zack Taylor (the original Black Ranger) -- and an all-new character, Ethan Kaye.
The team is led by Jason this time, instead of Tommy, because I loved the idea of having Jason resume his long-since gone role of team leader. Tommy was a good leader too, but I preferred the idea of showcasing just how good of a leader Jason really was to the team.
The characters remain with their original Ranger colors, except for Katherine and new member Ethan. Since both Katherine and Kimberly have served as the Pink Ranger, I decided to let Kimberly remain as the Pink Ranger and had Katherine take over as the Yellow Ranger instead. Besides, I preferred the idea of Kimberly using her original power coin again. Also, with original Blue Ranger Billy still on Aquitar, Ethan assumes the role as the new Blue Ranger.
However, don't think this was the original roster I had in mind for the team. Actually, Zack and Ethan weren't supposed to be on the team at all! The original team was originally supposed to consist of Tommy (Green Ranger, as team leader), Jason (Red Ranger), Kimberly (Yellow Ranger), Katherine (Pink Ranger), Adam (Black Ranger) and Rocky (Blue Ranger).
Why did the roster no longer include Rocky and Adam? Three reasons:
REASON 1.) As mentioned, I liked the idea of Kimberly becoming the Pink Ranger again as opposed to being the Yellow Ranger. Also, I liked the idea of seeing Katherine using the Saber Tooth Tiger coin.
REASON 2.) My new character Ethan was created for these fan fictions to keep things fresh. The idea of including a new character that was suddenly thrown into the life of being a super hero and looking at their adventures from a different point of view was interesting to me. In the stories, Ethan teases about the corny names of the monsters they fight, he wonders why his teammates dress up in clothes in the colors of their Ranger suits and is constantly surprised by the events of being a Ranger when the others have experienced these things before. In a lot of ways, he's like an audience member thrown into these stories -- he can't believe he's there and is constantly surprised by what happens next, but is wondering the same absurdities about all of these things that you or I would.
REASON 3.) While I like the characters of Rocky and Adam, I didn't have an easy time fitting them into the story. I also didn't care for them as much as the original Rangers (I didn't care for Rocky replacing Jason as the Red Ranger, though I do prefer Adam over Zack as the Black Ranger). Still, I do have the characters pop up in cameo form in some of the stories and I have plans for the characters later on.

#3.) THE POWER RANGER SUITS
The suits in my Power Rangers fan fiction stories are not spandex, but rather they are made up of hard metal panels instead.
What does that mean, exactly? Well, have you seen "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie"? I'm describing THOSE suits.
The metal panel Ranger suits are bulky looking and protective, but also provide enough mobility for the Rangers to move and fight: kicking, flipping, somersaults, you name it. Because honestly, let's face it -- if you're going to be fighting against aliens capable of magnetic blasts or energy beams fired from their fingertips, you want to make sure you're going to be fully protected in a suit hard enough to not take any lethal damage, but not clunky enough so that you fall backwards when you bend your knees. Spandex isn't as effective for protection.
But what made me think of using the Green Ranger suit for Tommy instead of the White Ranger, you ask? Again, three reasons come to mind:
REASON 1.) I have always preferred Tommy as the Green Ranger. He just seemed cooler that way in both how his character was portrayed and the look of the suit. Besides, since the White Ranger look was from another Ranger series compared to the original Ranger suits (the original suits of the Red, Black, Pink, Yellow, Blue and Green Rangers were from the Zyuranger series, while the White was from the Dairanger series) and just didn't look right.
REASON 2.) The White Ranger suit may have been Tommy's look in the first "MMPR" movie instead of the Green one, but this is finally my chance to imagine what it'd look like when with the other suits. Hey, it is fan FICTION after all. I can dream, right?
REASON 3.) I actually have other plans for the White Ranger, the mentioned Dairangers and their Zords (known on Power Rangers as the Thunder Zords). Stay tuned...

#4.) THE COMMAND CENTER
Again, the look I have described for the Command Center in my fan fiction stories is supposed to be like that from "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie" -- sort of.
This is actually supposed to be more like the interiors of the Command Center from the television series, meaning no gantries, no raised console ring and no Viewing Globe at the side of the controls, but still with the look of the theatrical movie. I loved the look of it, but never understood why they had to have the console ring and gantry walkways. For such a big place, it seemed kind of odd to have just a wide raised ring for them to stand on.
The energy stands, the crystals in the plasma tube, the controls -- all of those interiors from the movie are supposed to be the same. It's just now a big, round room with no gantries and is all set on the same level.

#5.) THE NEW JUICE BAR
This is one question I'm sure everyone will be asking: in the Power Rangers fan fiction stories, the six Rangers - now about 30 years old each - still gather together and have drinks at a juice bar. Why are they still drinking fruit drinks, sodas and milkshakes instead of alcohol since they're all over 21?
Well, the main reason is simple: in my stories, the Rangers don't drink. The Juice Bar is also a place where everyone can drop by to gather together to get sodas, like kids dropping by after high school and grown ups on their break from work. My new, created-just-for-my-Power -Rangers-fan-fiction-stor ies character Ethan, though, has his own personal reasons on why he doesn't drink alcohol. On the subject...
-
#6.) ETHAN KAYE
I'm sure you're wondering: Who is this guy? He's not in the Power Rangers mythology! Why is he with the likes of Tommy, Kat, Jason, Kim and Zack?
Hey, don't pick on the guy so much! He's a FICTIONAL character I made up and he is just for my fan fiction.
The character Ethan Kaye, who assumes the role of the new Blue Ranger, is actually a homage to Ethan Ramsey Cambias, the character played by James Scott on the soap opera "All My Children" from 2004 to 2006.
Yes, you read right - a new character of mine is based off a soap opera actor and character.
Why, you ask? Because even though I don't watch the soap series, my sister loves watching it, that's why. In fact, the name "Ethan Kaye" is an amalgam of the character and Thorsten Kaye, who plays his father, Zach Slater, on the series. My character, Ethan, also happens to share the same date of birth with Mr. Scott, January 14th -- which was eerily odd, considering this was something I found out about the actor AFTER I came up with the character's birthdate.
Ethan's history is not revealed in his debut story ("Power Rangers: Remorphin Time"), but his character gets explored throughout the fan fiction stories that follow.
Of his background, Ethan is British, has brown hair and eyes, is 6 feet tall, 175 lbs. and, as mentioned, is a Capricorn. He has a loving mother who raised him, his father died when he was six and he has a cousin, Cammy Reynolds, who eventually appears as an important character in my fan fiction stories. Ethan has also been friends with Katherine the longest and met her before he met the other Rangers. Ethan met her a few years before "Remorphin Time" when he was previously working as a stage actor and he did a play with Katherine in London, where they became fast friends. Ethan doesn't drink because his abusive father was an alcoholic who drank himself to death and his favorite color is blue.

#7.) DOMMINNOUS
Another all-new, made-up-just-for-my-fan-f iction-stories character, Domminnous has a purposefully unclear history with Lord Zedd and Rita. We do know Domminnous met them a long time ago and he was friends with the two. The name Domminnous (pronounced "dom" as in domination, "min" as in mint and "nous" as in Nosferatu) means "dark ruler" in the Tennetti tongue (the alien language of a distant planet of the same name). He is also with some mercy: if he makes someone a promise, he will always keep his word.
What is known of Domminnous' past starts centuries ago on Eltar, which is Zordon's home planet. Domminnous had attempted to conquer it by using his Elivoss stone and his two Dark Zords. But after being defeated by a master warrior, Domminnous was taken off of Eltar and imprisoned on a planet that acts as a giant prison, containing only the most power threats in the galaxy. The Elivoss stone was taken away from Domminnous and locked in the vault of the prison center. After Domminnous was taken away from Eltar, Domminnous' Dark Zords were taken apart and shipped off of Eltar. The parts of the Zords were then sent to three different planets throughout the galaxy -- Drynnix, Tennetti and Hetterray, respectively -- and their parts buried deep underground.
Domminnous was unaffected by Zordon's energy wave (from the finale of "Power Rangers in Space") because the planet was out of its reach. Domminnous found a way to escape the jail, killed some of the Guards that held him, got in one of the Guards' space crafts, reclaimed the Elivoss stone and left the planet. Domminnous went to one alien planet, Hetterray, where he enslaved the native species and made them dig out the missing parts. Taking the parts on an enormous space craft, Domminnous left the planet and freed the people, as he promised.
Domminnous then arrived on our moon and found out what happened to his friends - because of Zordon's energy wave, Zedd and Rita were human now and their evil minions were reduced to piles of sand! Domminnous abducted the now-human Rita and Zedd and restored them to their normal, evil selves by the Elivoss stone. Domminnous was also able to revive a select few of their evil minions - Goldar, Rita's brother Rito Revolto, Scorpina and Finster, respectively. The Elivoss stone not only returned the villains' to their evil forms, but also increased their powers, strength and intelligence greater than before. However, Rita was upset that the stone didn't have enough power to restore her father, Master Vile, but Domminnous swore to one day restore him when the stone was fully recharged.
With his friends joining him, Domminnous took them with him to a distant galaxy and to the planet Tennetti. While there, Domminnous again enslaved the people there and made them dig out the other Zord parts buried on the planet. With only five parts left to find, Domminnous left the planet and again freed the people as he promised. The evil beings left to Drynnix, but the ship was caught in a storm when they arrived and it was destroyed. The evil aliens all survived the crash, but Domminnous was stunned to discover that the planet's atmosphere was toxic to him. Over time, it slowly sapped his strength and powers. Within half a year, Domminnous would be eventually killed by the atmosphere. The other villains' health and powers weren't affected by the atmosphere, but the atmosphere made them unable to teleport themselves off of the planet. The transporter technology in the ship was also unable to send any of them off the planet. The villains were stranded.
However, there were a few minor advantages to being on the planet - while the planet was devoid of human-like occupants, the planet did have a castle for them to occupy and a small sample of the clay necessary to create Putty Patrollers. Finster used the technology of the broken space ship to create eight Putties to help the Guards, but since none of them could dig out the Zord parts buried on Drynnix themselves, Domminnous had Finster use a transporter to bring an alien species to the planet to dig the Zord parts out. Zedd suggested to Domminnous to send humans from Earth to Drynnix, while Rita suggested he use it on the people of Angel Grove. Domminnous agreed and the transporter sent the humans to the planet. However, the transporter could only affect humans - it didn't have any power necessary to transport the villains off of Drynnix.
And that is where my first Power Rangers fan fiction story, "Remorphin Time", begins...
For his appearance, Domminnous has cat-like eyes are yellow and his pale gray skin has reptilian scales. He is dressed in a black robe with armored plates and carries a tall black staff. He looks like he's in his mid forties in age, but is over fifteen thousand years old.
-
#8.) THE ELIVOSS STONE
Centuries ago, before he tried to take over Eltar, Domminnous stole the Elivoss stone from planet Isyrous. The stone is virtually unbreakable and is one of the most powerful evil devices known. Its power can do many feats, such as increase the powers of any evil being over tenfold what they had before, turn anyone evil and even revive the dead (from out of anything - an article of clothing, ashes, or even from out of nothing at all!).
However, the Elivoss stone can only revive up to a certain number of people at a time and the more powerful that person becomes, resurrected or not, the less people it can revive afterwards. Once it reaches its temporary limitation, the Elivoss stone must then recharge before it can be used again. Sometimes it can take up to a few weeks or sometimes up to two months before reaching its full power levels again.

#9.) TIMELINE
If you are wondering when the story takes place, it technically hasn't yet. And until another incarnation of "Power Rangers" comes out with the characters included - such as Jason, Tommy, etc. - to prove otherwise, this is not an "alternate reality" these events take place in.
My fan fiction stories take place after the events of "Power Rangers: Dino Thunder" and the first story, "Power Rangers: Remorphin Time", takes place in 2007, over the time span of April to June. This means that the pilot episode of Power Rangers, when the original five Rangers got their powers, took place in September 1993, when they were all 16 years old.
It incorporates elements of both the various incarnations of the TV series and the two theatrical movies in a way that makes sense.
-
#10.) THE COUPLES IN THE TEAM
At the start of "Remorphin Time", Jason is engaged to Kimberly and Tommy is already married to Katherine. Why pair them up?
Well, I thought they made cute couples and I'm not ashamed to admit it!
The latter couple is no surprise, since on "Power Rangers Zeo", there is an episode where an elderly Tommy is seen married to Katherine. In fact, in the "Forever Red" episode of "Power Rangers: Wild Force", Katherine WAS supposed to make an appearance as Tommy's wife, but it never happened. It's likely that Tommy and Katherine reunited after the events of "Dino Thunder" and got married before "Remorphin Time", but when this all happened is purposefully not explained to avoid conflicting continuity.
The former couple, though, shouldn't be too much of a surprise either. Jason was always very protective of all the Rangers when he was on the original series, yes, but to me, he always seemed a bit more concerned when it came to Kimberly. When she was in trouble, he offered to help her out. Whenever the team split up on occasion, Jason usually went with Kim (wonder why - think Fred and Daphne on "Scooby Doo"). In most episodes, whenever Kim would stand by someone, she usually stayed close to Jason -- even when she was dating Tommy.
Sure, we PR fans all know that Jason fell for a girl named Emily when he made guest appearances as the Gold Ranger on "Power Rangers Zeo" and Kim fell for an unnamed man in Florida after she left the series. However, there is no mention that Jason or Kimberly ever stayed together with their new love interests.
The romance between Kim and Jason was further hinted in "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie" when the two returned to Angel Grove. Alone. Without their dates.
My take on the Jason/Kimberly romance is explained throughout the stories, but the recap of it is that Jason has secretly ALWAYS had a crush on Kim, but before he got the chance to finally admit it to her, she fell for Tommy. When Kimberly moves back to Angel Grove in the summer of 2006 after being an award-winning gymnast in Florida, the two meet each other again, catch up and become close again. After several months of being together, Jason finally admits his feelings he's always had for Kimberly and the two begin to date, before Jason inevitably asks for her hand in marriage.
Also, for those who loved seeing Tommy and Kim together on the TV series... well, so did I! However, over time, I loved seeing Tommy paired with Katherine and the two became quite close from the third season of "Mighty Morphin" till they left during the "Power Rangers Turbo" series.
Also, Kim's breakup with Tommy rightfully angered many fans that were fond of the couple, since this seemed like a rushed way to end the romance since the actress who played Kimberly (Amy Jo Johnson) left the series. Their breakup is explained in various fan fiction stories of mine, with talks between Tommy and Kimberly about remaining close friends. There is also a mention in a fan fiction story where Tommy isn't bitter about their break up and thinks that Kim and Jason makes a cute couple. There is also another fan fiction story of mine where Kimberly talks to Tommy and apologizes for ending things between them the way she did, but Tommy forgives her.
After all, I don't think Tommy should be mad at Kim for their break-up. They both should blame the TV show writers who came up with the lame break-up between them in the first place!
-
#11.) FARKUS "BULK" BULKMEIER AND EUGENE "SKULL" SKULLOVITCH
Yes, Bulk and Skull pop up in some of the stories too, as the owners of the new Juice Bar in Angel Grove Plaza. With the original Gym and Juice Bar gone, Bulk and Skull opened a new one in homage of the place where they used to go to in high school. The interiors of the Juice Bar are identical to the original, from the bar to the workout center, but the bar is twice as big as the original Juice Bar.
Bulk and Skull occasionally leave for business trips, but usually stay at the bar and help serve drinks to customers. Bulk and Skull remain close friends to the six Rangers, with Skull being a close friend to the woman he had a crush on, Kimberly. Bulk and Skull usually have them help out for charities and other events that take place in the bar, but they also tease them on occasion for still being "squeaky clean", since none of the six Rangers drink, smoke or have tattoos.
-
#12.) BEING A RANGER IS A SAFETY HAZARD
Tommy is captured by Domminnous' Guards, briefly stretched and hit by their tasers. Zack, Jason and Kimberly all bare scars on their skin from where they were whipped by the villains' henchmen on planet Drynnix. Ethan's shoulder is burned and scarred by an explosion during an attack.
This is definitely not your kids' Power Rangers.
As a kid watching the Power Rangers TV series, I was always puzzled that none of the Rangers were seriously hurt by any of their constant attacks. Sure, in the suits, they were protected. But it's obviously a kid's show when the unmorphed Rangers can also fight with monsters and manage to slip away without so much as a scratch or bruise.
This time, in my PG-13 type fan fic stories, the Rangers always face each mission they're assigned carefully. VERY carefully. Their new, stronger metal Power Ranger suits make them nearly impossible to hurt and, at worst, can make sparks off of their suit from where they were struck. But outside of the suit is a different story. When unmorphed, the Rangers cannot face off with the monsters unless they're in their Power Ranger suits. Also, fighting with the Guards without their powers is always risky with the weapons they carry.
Now, even when the Rangers are in their suits, that doesn't make their job any easier. The monsters are not as strong as the Rangers, but they're strong enough to shove them through walls or knock them back with their powers -- energy blasts, hurricane winds, etc. Angel Grove also has a larger population than it had years ago, meaning there are more bystanders to save should they be in harm's way during a battle.
Even the Megazord now has its limitations. While all of the Zords are stronger and faster than they ever were before, when the five Zords (Tyrannosaurus, Pterodactyl, Mastodon, Saber Tooth Tiger and Triceratops, respectively) come together to form the Megazord, the Megazord now has to build up its power supply from its new energy generators in order to summon and fire the Mega Power Zord.
While the Power Sword could originally be called at any time and could destroy the monster with a single stroke of energy emitted from it, the Megazord must now first generate enough energy to a high power level before it can fire the final blow. Besides, I always hated that on the show, it was usually easy to defeat the villains when Megazord was around. Where's the challenge for the Power Rangers in the fight if they could stop the monster with a single hit of the Mega Power Sword and blow it up?
However, since some of the monsters they face are now alive as opposed to the clay creations they were originally, the Rangers don't kill those monsters in cold blood, because the Rangers do NOT kill. Instead, when dealing with living monsters not made of clay, the Rangers use a small amount of energy from the Power Sword against the enemy. By doing this, the energy strike from the Mega Power Sword will not only shrink the monster back down to its normal size, but it also teleports the enemy off of Earth and back to the villains' lunar palace.
-
#13.) THE ENERGY WHIP
This weapon is used by Domminnous's guards in my Power Rangers fan fiction stories. Each whip has a single lash of heated white energy that, after it hits somebody, leaves a streak of white light on their skin. But within seconds after the hit, the light eats away into the skin of said person like acid and reveals an inevitable bloody welt. As the energy evaporates to become the welt, though, it also singes the skin around it and momentarily raises smoke off of the heated energy as it evaporates. However, the intensity of the heat of the energy whip is weak and just leaves mild burns on the skin. The welt made on the person, though, eventually heals, but it leaves a raised scar of the wound on the skin.
I know what you're thinking: What caused me to come up with such a thing? Actually, I got the idea for this from two sources - the 1987 "Masters of the Universe" movie, with the red laser whip that the villain Blade used in the film, and the ill-received, live-action "Mortal Kombat" TV series, which had an episode where the character Reptile used his acid spit at a fighter and the acid slowly dissolved away at his face, eating into the skin of the poor chap.
However, while Zack and Jason were hit with it by Goldar and Scorpina whipped Kimberly in "Remorphin Time", this weapon is used in additional stories and other members of the team later bear the scars by its lash during future encounters with the Guards.
-
#14.) THE STUNNER TRIDENT
This is another new weapon I used for my Power Rangers fan fiction. The three tips on one end of the trident emit purple electric sparks and the device acts like a taser, momentarily stunning whoever it hits. The three tips are dull and only push against, rather than stabbing, whoever it hits and the current emitted is fairly low with no permanent damage. However, the current is effective enough to stun anyone for several seconds, giving the Guards enough time to gang up on whoever they stunned, give them enough time to handcuff someone to take them away, etc.
-
#15.) WHY I CHOSE TO USE THE ORIGINAL POWER COINS AND ZORDS FOR THE SERIES
I chose to use the original "Mighty Morphin" series because the original show remains my favorite incarnation of the Power Rangers television show to date. The very first season of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", to me, was the best in terms of stories, characters, action sequences and the guest monsters they fought in every episode.
Although I loved the first several episodes of the second season and still think that Lord Zedd was a much better, cooler and scarier villain than Rita ever was, the second season made me lose interest halfway through. When Tommy became the White Ranger and didn't look like the other Rangers, I was a bit annoyed. Tommy wasn't as cool or edgy as he was when he was the Green Ranger. But when Zack, Trini and my favorite Ranger Jason left the show, that was what made me most upset. The three new Rangers - Adam, Aisha and Rocky, respectively - weren't bad by any means, but they weren't as interesting to me as the other Rangers that they replaced had been.
Besides, as mentioned, I have plans for the Dairangers and the Thunder Zords in future stories.
-
#16.) WHY LORD ZEDD CANNOT MAKE PUTTIES IN "REMORPHIN TIME"
Because he was on Drynnix at the time, that's why. While Lord Zedd's health wasn't affected by the planet's atmosphere, his staff wasn't able to create any monsters, let alone Putty Patrollers. This is why Zedd can make Putties with his staff in other stories, but not in "Remorphin Time". Finster is also able to find some of the clay to make eight Putties only while on Drynnix, but Zordon's energy wave has also altered the clay originally used to create them. The clay to make Putties and/or monsters has now become very rare, since the samples that came into contact with the energy wave were mutated by it to become useless.
However, Finster does find another planet that has a similar type of clay for him to use in another story and this new clay is easy to mold and shape. When this clay hardens and becomes a Putty or a monster, it makes them almost as strong as the Rangers' armor-plated suits.
Besides, I liked the idea of even the newly powered villains having limitations with their powers now. It seemed too easy for the villains to make their monsters on the show and I wanted things to be as difficult for the villains as it is for the Rangers.
-
#17.) DOES "REMORPHIN TIME" RIP OFF THE FIRST MOVIE?
I know what you're thinking: "A bunch of people are taken against their will to dig out two Zords bent on destroying the city of Angel Grove and then the world. Isn't that copying part of the storyline from the first Power Rangers movie?"
Well, that was unintentional, but to answer that question truthfully, yes and no. Let me compare the differences for you guys to make things clearer...
"MMPR: THE MOVIE": The parents of Angel Grove are brainwashed by the main villain, Ivan Ooze, via his own purple ooze and they dig out the parts of his twin Ecto-Morphicon devices (the Hornitor and Scorpitron, respectively) at a construction site. The parents later assemble them in a toxic waste factory. Ivan, Mordant and Goldar all supervise, but don't do any work 'cause they have the people do it for them. All of this takes place within 48 hours.
MY FAN FICTION: Over two hundred citizens of Angel Grove (including the six soon-to-become Power Rangers) are teleported off of Earth via an energy wave built by Finster and taken to planet Drynnix by Domminnous, but they are not brainwashed. Instead, Domminnous, Zedd, Rita and the others force the citizens to work under their own free as slave labor and they must work in the caverns of the planet that stretch on for thousands of miles. The people have to dig out five missing Dark Zord parts from the ground (that of the Wasp and Spider Zords, respectively) and ship them off to Domminnous' castle to get them reassembled. Rito Revolto, Goldar, Scorpina and Domminnous' guards all supervise the workers, but are unable to dig them out themselves because of invisible energy barriers around the caverns that prevent any evil people and/or monsters from digging them out. All of this takes place for several weeks, starting April 30th and ending within the second week of June.
Similar, but different. VERY different. Again, the similarities were unintentional when I was writing it. I just thought it'd be cool to see a few of the original Power Rangers abducted by their enemies and forced to work for them in order to get back home. Besides, the story is only fan fiction. It's not real. It's just to read, nothing more. Honest. Please don't sue.
-
#18.) WHY DOES KAT SAY "SABER TOOTH TIGER" WHEN SHE MORPHS WHEN IT'S ACTUALLY SABER TOOTH CAT IN REAL LIFE?
Hmm... uh... well, because that's how they had it on the TV series and that's how I kept it for the fan fiction stories. *whew* There's your answer. Next?
-
#19.) WHY DID YOU CHOOSE SPECIFIC VILLAINS TO BE MADE REAL BY THE ELIVOSS STONE, BUT OTHERS WERE NOT?
Well, I wanted to make certain monsters that were favorites of mine real, because most were either one-hit wonders that only appeared on the series once or they were powerful characters that could prove to be formidable opponents for the Rangers to fight, but didn't really get to be portrayed as such on the TV series.
One character that was a good example of both reasons is the monster Magnet Brain. The guy had magnetism powers, could send energy blast attacks back at the Rangers and so on, but he was only on the show once. However, in order to make him come back and stay, I got rid of his ability to upset the Earth's magnetic balance. After all, on the show his presence would have eventually disintegrated the Earth if the Rangers hadn't stopped him.
Another good example is King Sphinx. This monster successfully teleported Zack and Kim away with ease with the hurricane winds from flapping his wings and was evenly matched with the team's leader, Jason, in terms of fighting skills during their battle. I was always disappointed he only appeared on the show once, so he was one of the monsters I wanted to see come back the most.
The other monsters that return in my stories are, in alphabetical order:
- Bloom of Doom
- Bones
- Eye Guy
- Goatan (who, like Magnet Brain, had to be toned down for his own powers in order to be brought back)
- Minotaur
- Nasty Knight
- Octophantom
- Primator
- Robogoat
- Salaguana
There are others, as well as all new ones I came up with myself that are fairly creepy and powerful, but I have to keep some secrets to myself, right?

#20.) HOW MANY OF THESE STORIES ARE THERE GOING TO BE, EXACTLY?
What? And ruin the surprise? However, working on these stories will not affect my other projects, like "X6", "The Avengers" and the upcoming "Waxwork II: Reopening".

#21.) ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?
Not that I can think of. I have to leave SOME surprises for my future tales. But I truly hope you like the fan fiction stories!
