Brendan Frasier To Play "Goku"?

October 5, 2004 — DBZ Live Movie tells us that they received this unconfirmed, but interesting scoop:

Hi, I'd like to remain anonymous for obvious reasons,but I am a loyal dbz fan (actually my son is,and begged me to do this). please post this at your forum and website. Brendan Frasier will be playing the part of Goku in the up-coming movie 'Dragon Ball Z' I know this for a fact,since I happen to work at Fox Studios.You are welcome to share this information with the following websites:- www.dbzsc.com please no more.I'd like to keep myself 'out of any trouble',but i do believe that fox studios is withholding alot of information from you kids.I suppose they dont want 50,000 dbz fanatics storming fox studios looking for the set and all the stars,etc. All i can tell you is that Brendan Frasier IS going to be Goku,the main star of Dragonball Z.Apparently,he has the voice,height,attitude,and now,the body,to play a martial arts master.

i will rip my eyes out of their sockets if I see Brendan Fraser dressed as Goku. With Fraser as a possible candidate, I'm seeing this as George of the jungle 3 with martial arts in it.

COME ON! Bring in an actual martial artist/ actor who can act and be somewhat comedic, please! Is there no one else?

Who's gonna play vegeta- Nathan Lane?

brendan Frasier, as Goku? Well thats not to horrible to think on, after all Goku is a goofy tender hearted character. Hes not anything at all like any of the Z warriors, and I think George of the Jungle was humorous---If you dwell on the idea of how he played the role and how he looked I think Id like to see him shoot for Kakarot aka Goku. I just hope he can the goofy parts and take on the serious part of Gokus character when it comes to an official battle off. I say the actor has a shot, Im not a huge fan---but I say give the guy a shot. Id love a shot going out for Bulma, but it seems that Im in the jab of being sent off to fight a war in the sandbox---Ill be back in a year to watch and see how far the production has gone. I think the only difficult character to fine is going to be a (Chi-Chi) What-a-hellion of a cat. I have a lot of faith in Fox productions: So Im safe to say that this will be an awesome production---and Im sure it will be a lot of fun to work with, especially sense graphics with computer technology today. Im interested in seeing how fare Brendan Frasier can take it. Hes a good actor, and he has experience with using comedy and drama. This movie if its a hit may help bring Dragonball Z back, its dieing off---and only the true fans keep to its scripts. Im really interested in knowing who they have for Vegeta. I hope its something good. Have faith you guys, and dont be disappointed.I think that the studio knows what there doing, Im just peeved its taking so long to get the production on a roll. (Wish I could had a shot at a part. -.- -Sigh-I just had to be a soldier....)

i think Brendan Fraser is the best choice for Goku...I am a loyal Dragonball fan and I have studied Goku's features and characteristics..Brendan Fraser has a smilar body build and most importantly he has the ability to portray Goku's lovable goofy laugh...Although I was disappointed at Hugh Jackman for getting himself fired, I think he would make a good Vegeta...especially his hair cut from X-Men..It would suit Vegeta nicely...This is THE show I have been waiting for for 10 years now...Dragonball forver!!!

you know, I don't know how bad he'd be. He does have the face, height, build (aparently even more buff now) and goofy smile. I have a great Vegeta in mind. Germain UFC fighter by the name of andrei arlovski. He has the EXACT same face
