Anyhoo, this was what I was waiting to see. If the film worked well in the Asian box office, then I know they got it right. Finished #2 in Japan! Which btw is pretty common for American movies over there. Its not often a "Foreign" film take the #1 slot there. The Japanese are very picky about how they spend their money on movies over there and if this had been as bad as everyone here says it is. it would have died a quick death after the first day and word got around. A lot of American films have tanked big time over there in just that way. Death by word of mouth.
So I'm happy about this. After all its their manga/anime and their characters and if they liked it enough to get those kinds of numbers then I know it's right. Plus it looks like this film is on track to make back its budget and more.
Funny how no one has commented on the numbers very quickly. Lol!
Because even crappy movies can have good numbers, so that means nothing, thus why nobody is actually mentioning it. Give it time, I doubt it will make back it's money.
