April 30, 2003 — VFXPro was able to get a couple short answers from Boy
Wonder
Visual Effects who did more than 500 shots from Bulletproof Monk.
Over the past nine months, expanding VFX and production facility Boy Wonder
Visual Effects , based in Culver City, has been busy generating more than five
hundred digital effects shots for MGM's "Bulletproof Monk." The studio
also delivered shots for Paramount's "Dickie Roberts" and continues
work on MGM's "Out of Time," starring Denzel Washington, and independent
fantasy feature "George and the Dragon."
To accommodate the shots,
Boy Wonder has added Emmy-winning VFX supervisor Tim Landry to the staff to
serve as creative director. Landry comes to the
company after nine years with Dream Quest Images and Walt Disney's Secret Lab,
where he supervised such projects as "George of the Jungle," "The
Sixth Sense," "Shanghai Noon," "Snow Dogs" and "Honey,
We Shrunk Ourselves."
