Warner Bros is hoping that releasing Superman Returns on DVD now in China, two months before worldwide release, it will take away from the piracy that is done there. Also to help with the fight the DVD will cost between $1.80 to $2.80.

Stepping up efforts to combat piracy in China, Warner Bros. released a competitively priced Superman Returns DVD there Thursday, two months earlier than its worldwide bow elsewhere.

In China, Superman is priced between $1.80 and $2.80 and features hard-to-copy disc encryption technology.

Superman Returns will launch on DVD in the U.S. and other territories on Nov. 28. In the U.S., it will be priced at $28.98 for a single disc and $34.99 for a two-disc special edition...
