Warner Bros. will release the summer hit Superman Returns to DVD on November 28, 2006. Fans will have a few choices to make with they pick it up. The DVD will be released on a combo disc of HD-DVD or Blu-ray and standard DVD format. There is the single-disc edition or the two-disc special edition only on standard DVD format. Then there is the 14-disc Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition, which will be in standard DVD format.

The ultimate peacekeeper, Superman is staying neutral in the high-definition format war.

On Nov. 28, the studio will release its $197 million-grossing Superman Returns as an HD DVD Combo disc (which has HD DVD on one side of the disc and standard-def on the other) priced at $39.99 and on Blu-ray Disc with a list price of $34.99.

On standard-def, Superman Returns will be available in two versions: a single-disc for $28.98 that contains just the movie and a two-disc special edition priced at $34.99 that offers more than three hours of extras...
