I enjoyed the first Rush Hour film and I enjoyed the sequel. I guess this is because they pretty much stuck to the formula of the first film with a few new twists. This time Tucker, rather than Chan, if the fish out of water. This leads to some hilarious moments as he deals with the Chinese culture in a karaoke bar, at a street market, and with a taxi driver. Tucker is in best form when he is shocked, confused, freaking out, or getting his butt kicked. Those scenes give him plenty of opportunities for each. I think Chris Tucker walks a fine line between being entertaining and annoying, but he was successful in being funny a majority of the time in Rush Hour 2.
