Let me start off by saying that I'm not a die-hard 'Friday The 13th' fan. I was actually looking forward to this film because it looked good in the previews. But the previews fooled me into believing this would actually be good, and there is nothing good about this movie. Its a piece of absolute **** !
I walked into the theater on April 26th at the 9pm showing of this movie thinking "Wow, this might actually be good". I was wrong. Dead wrong. I did like the first 3 'Fridays' and thats it. The rest of them are garbage, plain and simple. The opening got me hyped into seeing this, but once the crappy dialogue came into play and weak acting thats when I was like "Oh God, no". Who the hell would take a maddman into space? Obviously they have no damn brains to know that it was Jason. They take Jason into space by a research facility thinking he's dead. Another side note: He's dead, leave him alone dammit. After they arrive in space the horny teens come into play also. Its like a friggin porno movie for a few minutes. Come On. I will admitt that some of the death scenes were pretty cool. When Jason soaks that one chicks head into the nitrogen was cool. But the rest of the movie really sucked. Horribly. Theres one part that really was corny when the women finds someone dead on a giant screw. She says into the monitor "He's screwed" I laughed my ass off at that. Awful dialogue and acting. What was New Line doing all that time when the film was held up for a year. They obviously selved this project.
I personally believe that this is one of the worst 'Friday The 13th' films yet. When Jason morphes into his dumbass metal ****. Its gay. Its not the Jason Type. The music was awful too. You barely here the infamous Chi-Chi Cha-Cha. Anyways, I hated this film plain and simple, and I would not reccomend this movie to anyone unless there a nerdy horror freak for every horror movie. I just pray that Freddy Vs. Jason is not greenlighted.
