April 29, 2002 — Kane Hodder, who has played Jason in the last four Friday the 13th movies, talks about playing Jason, and what you will not see him do:
-Fall or look awkward. "He needs to look powerful."
-Run. "It weakens the character."
-Kill children or animals. "He can twist a guy's head off, but no kicking of animals or touching a kid. It's hard to imagine that he could have morals. Actually, it's just me; I don't think he really cares."
-Make small talk. "It takes away from the menacing qualities if he talks. It makes him too human. I like to think of him as subhuman. It's more terrifying."
-Get the girl. Not a live one, at least.
