January 14, 2002 — Dark Horizons' Scooper 'Anonymous' posts a very positive review for "Jason X," his thoughts of the slasher flick read below.
Jason X is different from the other Friday the 13th movies. Its not because of the setting either. The reason is the pace and amount of action. The movie's action starts in the first few minutes and it doesn't let up until the end credits roll. Its one of the most tightly edited movies I've seen. You want to get to know characters and learn about their histories?? Go watch another movie. You want balls to the wall horror action? Jason X is for you. The pacing may be a little too quick for some, but I think the decision was made in the editing room to give the audience everything they want in a movie like this. Who goes to a slasher or action movie to see well developed characters??
I have no idea why New Line can't pick a release date for this film. It is NOT because the film doesn't deliver. This movie needs to have a wide release SOON. Stop screwing around New Line and release this cool flick. Jason X will be a hit...
